Simple Halloween Cake Ideas
spooky Halloween Cake

Creating this eerie bloody heart cake was a blast! It hits all my Halloween cake essentials: a simple design, ruffled buttercream, sprinkles, blood spatter, a chocolate heart, and a drip. I realize “simple” might be a stretch wiht all that, but it’s simple for me! 😆 A buttercream border, sprinkles, and blood spatter are always great options. Staging the spooky photoshoot was also super fun! I added a creepy message to the cake to amplify the scare factor. I used this mold for the chocolate heart. For the blood splatter, I used edible red paint (or you can dilute red food coloring with vodka). The “Cold Case” Fancy Sprinkles blend includes candy eyeballs, and I used my reliable 1M piping tip for the buttercream border.
