Champagne Sprinkle ā¢Cake
Last year, I baked this New Year’s ā¤Eve cakeā¤ for my small celebration. ā¢I crafted champagne glass stencils āfrom parchment paper. These were carefully placed onto the slightly chilled, yet sticky, buttercream.Next, I coated the cakeā¢ with Fancy Sprinkles goldā£ New Year’s sprinkles. After removing the parchment, āI painted ā£the exposed buttercream with edible gold and silver paint.This paint was madeā¤ from luster dust āmixed with vodka. I then added a black candy melts ganache drip, usingā£ a 3:1 ratio of candy melts to heavy cream (e.g., 3 oz candy melts to 1 ozā¢ heavy cream). for the final touch,ā Iā used my go-to piping tip,ā¤ the wilton 1M, to pipe grey buttercream swirls. ā¢I finished it off with more sprinkles and plenty of edible glitter. The New Year’s decorations were from Target. I secured them to a wooden stick to create a festive cake topper. The cake itself was a delightful combination of vanilla cake layers, raspberry filling, and vanilla buttercream.
